This painting reminds me of camping in the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina, West Virginia, or Tennessee right along the Appalachian Trail, near Standing Bear, the 40 year old hostile set on a 100 year old tobacco farm that still uses the same bunkhouse for hikers passing through.
The old growth hardwoods that are the hallmark of the area and brings so many people from all over the world to see their colors through the seasons. They are full of poplar, sugar maples, oaks red and yellow, hickory, cypress, and several pines are some of the great colorful trees in the fall.
We love the trees in the south. They give a canopy of much needed shade while walking the trails, which are so many, leading to swimming holes or hot springs, or sulphur springs the old settlers used for healing. It is such a splendid place for camping. I hope this image will inspire you to visit, if not, at least get a print to remind you to seek nature daily with your heart and mind and body.
This image was originally 2x3 inches painted on sticker paper. Though it was painted in a tiny format, it's image translates well into a larger image as in a 4x6 inch sticker, postcard, canvas, or metal. This image looks awesome on the wall, or stuck to the side of your laptop.
